Got the brackets from @midcoma today, and man he didn't skimp on anything in this kit, good quality bolts and nuts, and good finish. Here is a pic. Also the special tool I made from a rear piston auto adjust and a 3" bolt welded and ground. Can't wait for the e-brake set up!

You didn't miss anything. 2TH4IST chose to set up his own brake lines, so I was able to go ahead and send him the kit. For the people that sent me info regarding brake line preferences, I placed the order on Friday and will hopefully get them soon.

Not ready for these yet but I think this is something i'll definitely pick up in the future. The rear drums on mine are quite rusted and I have a small hole in one of my backing plates. So instead of replacing the backing plate i'd rather just do this conversion kit.

Kit is looking solid. Did I mess when we were supposed to pay?

I finally thought to try it out. Sure enough, with well adjusted rear drum brakes they lock The tires right up when you pull the e brake.

I guess heat dissipation is one of the major expected benefits of going with rear disc brakes?

Another advantage is when going through water crossings that are deep enough to wet the shoes. The drums/shoes don't dry quickly compared to discs/pads, so the rear braking is somewhat reduced.

Yes! It's been a while since I've posted, but I've been trying to get a few things taken care of first.

The original post has been updated to reflect available kits and pricing, as well as pictures.

As far as status, there are a few things going on.

On 26JUN I placed an order for some specific boxes that I cannot get from my local Post Office. I still haven't received these boxes. I contacted USPS last week and was told that the order is still in processing, which isn't right. So they were looking into it for me to figure out why the order hasn't cleared processing. I need these boxes to ship the kits, so hopefully I'll have them soon.

On 30APR I ordered a bunch of parking brake cables. Apparently I ordered more than the manufacturer had available. I told the distributor to send them as soon as they came available and I've received a few shipments, but my entire order has not been fulfilled yet. I contacted the manufacturer directly and was told that the cables are backordered until the end of August.

I'm also working on producing the hard brake lines for the people who have responded to my messages.

With that being said, as soon as I get the boxes in I have around 20 complete kits that are ready to go. I'm reviewing my order information to make sure I have everything correct and then I'll be contacting people for information to send invoices.

That all sounds wonderful! Hopefully you are able to get everything you need from the post office soon. I am very excited to get this kit!

This kit looks amazing! I can't PM but would like to be added to the list for the conversion, parking brake and line kits.

Just a few weeks ago I finished rebuilding the rear axles due to leaking axle seals. I went all out for brand new rear brake hardware and drums. I wish I had seen this first! Would have been the perfect time to do this swap.
