I know some people are trying to get their brakes installed this weekend. I’m still working through instructions and will have at least a very detailed draft posted in the morning. If anyone needs the info sooner, send me a message and I’ll make sure you get the info you need.

No worries. Brake lines are easy to get straightened.

One thing that maybe we should do, is post up the additional parts needed (ie: calipers, pads, disc, etc.) so we can get a list of parts that function with this kit. There are a lot of options out there, so it would be nice to have an easy list that people can shop with.

Here is what I have:

Calipers: Power Stop #S4824A
Banjo Bolts: BrakeBest H9479-2
Brake Pads: BrakeBest Organic Rear Disc Brake Pads #D627
Brake Discs: BrakeBest Select Brake Rotor #96929RGS
Rear Axle Seals/Bearings: Marlin Crawler #MCAX-241 (vary's by year)
Brake Fluid and Gear Oil of your choice

Be careful with those PowerStop calipers. Seriously, Thank you midcoma for taking the time and effort to make this happen! I will post more pictures once it is completed. I am also working on the parking brake kit too. Awesome directions on that, I definitely did not want to guess on the parking brake kit. Don't mind the wheel cylinder hanging around in the photo; I have a long steel braided line that runs from the T to the cylinder so I just plugged it back up with it.

On a separate note, I just got a call from the shop producing my flex lines. Apparently my guy got in trouble for the last order I placed. His bosses are telling him that he has to charge $45-$50 for each of the flex lines ($90-$100 per pair). So needless to say, I’m back on the search for a shop that can make them at reasonable prices.

After reading your post I ran out immediately to get the banjo bolts. Mine threaded up nice and easy. For reference, I ordered Powerstop rear calipers for a 1999 Mustang Cobra. The banjo bolt size is M10 x 1.5

After a bit of research, most 94-98 Cobra calipers are M10-1.0 fine pitch thread (some 99's use this too) Ford went to the M10-1.5 course thread for the later years. Folks are just going to have to check and confirm. This is the problem that I believe kramer03 may have had.

That's good information to have. I had the 04' calipers and we tried both the M10x1.5 and the M10x1.0 just to be on the safe side. The M10x1.5 did thread into one lone caliper but none of the other 04' calipers would accept it. We also tried a bunch of other fittings to see if by chance something else would work on the defective ones and got nothing. It was probably just a bad batch that they had from the manufacturer. Just thought I'd share my experience with them so those who decide to use them could check before diving into the project.

Your info was pure gold. I definitely would have started the project without the banjo bolts and my normal luck would have been to have defective calipers, too. Thanks for sharing, that's what make this forum invaluable!
