Anyne have experiance with Coastal Offroads rear bumper?

Going to be buying this bumper with the full setup but wanted to hear some user experiences about it if anyone on here has it. What sold me on it was not only the cnc cuts but the fact that the tire rack and jerry cans open up "suicide door style" instead of it being one solid bar.

I don't have any experience with the extras but the bumper itself I do! Still in the process of finishing mine but i love it!

Awesome! Is it your first welding experience? Their website says their instructions are very detailed, would you agree?

Super excited to get this but I am scratching my head trying to figure out where I am going to put my license plate and somehow rig a light to it. With getting the tire rack and probably jerry can holder.

I've just finished the Coastal Offroad rear bumper and swing out kit. It is VERY solid and complements my CO skid plate, rock slider and front bumper kits. However, my 110V MIG was not up to the job of welding the thick bumper plate, so I farmed out the welding of all except the skid plate.

It took about 10 hours to build the rear bumper and swingout kit to the paintable stage.

Note that the fuel holder will only hold two military SPEC fuel tanks (C$100). It will not hold military STYLE fuel cans (C$25) because they are 1/2" wider at the base than the military spec cans. Brandon is willing to modify the fuel holder kit on request.

I presume this is the Military STYLE can that won't go in the standard holder? 7" wide

Mark, thanks for clarifying my confusing post. In a nut shell YES, the Princess Auto fuel cans DO fit!

The red Scepter 3609 fuel cans sold everywhere for $25 are called "Military Style" cans on Amazon.ca. They do not fit because they measure 7.5"W at base.

However, the olive Scepter 05552 fuel cans sold for $80 (+ $40 for pouring cap and hose!) by Princess Auto DO fit, they are built to military spec Mil-C-53109 / CID A-A-59592A, hence why I called them "Military Spec". They are 7" wide at base, and I have two of them in the fuel holder of my Coastal Offroad swing out.

If I had known that the normal fuel cans would not fit before building the bumper I would have asked Brandon to modify the fuel can holder. He was not aware of the problem, but has indicated he can modify the fuel holder size upon request.

The instructions lack in my honest opinion but its extremely simple to put together if you lay all your parts out. My advice is do not do any finish welding untill you have inspected all of your body lines. Take your time with the fabbing of it and youll be fine. Mine turned out great! I just havent gotten around to painting and installing it yet. Been to busy overhauling my girls subi and building some custom raised garden beds in the backyard.
