Fair price for shocks/coils from my 99
I’ve been trying to search the forum on pricing but couldn’t find much. I just took these off my 1999 4Runner SR5. Bought my 4R a little over a year ago and the previous owner mentioned the suspension was pretty much new.
I just installed the Toytec 3” Ultimate Lift so I’m looking to sell this. What’s fair pricing on this?

I paid $60 for a set of used Landcruiser 8 wraps. I see much newer takeoffs from folks that immediately lift new rigs for $150 to $300 or so.
I’d guess 20 year old suspension parts from a non-collector vehicle to be worth maybe $100, maybe.
5th gen 4Runner OEM suspension - auto parts - by owner - vehicle...

blue yellow and blue pink I think were the combinations of the 99 talls. KYB means that the shocks are not stock. so we are not looking at 20 year old shocks.
some people like the 99 tall springs....Im running them and liked the extra 1 inch I got.
SO depending on the color of the rear springs...I think if you advertised them on craigslist as 99 talls and explain how it will give an inch over stock for other years...you will get 100
If I knew that the shocks were not blown and had another 4runner needing shocks...id do 100 esp with the front being all assembled.

I paid $60 for '99 springs only. What do you value the shocks at?

I’d say couple of hundred for that. Fully assembled kybs on 99 talls? Someone will get an easy and inexpensive upgrade. Some say these shocks are nice.

I just (2 weeks ago) sold a set of 4 '99 springs for $60 shipped, $40 of that was shipping. $100/shipped would be reasonable if there was a Known history of the shocks, but just a PO verbally claiming they were "new" doesn't cut it for me. Maybe someone else is more lenient in their view of acceptable and might pay a little more, but then you get into how long do you want to try and wait for that right person to come along? Gas-a-justs are only ~$100 brand new for all 4 corners.
Interested buyers would want to know what the measurements were on the springs (hub to fender) to make sure they'll actually be getting a lift and not something that's sagged worse than they already have... hope you grabbed that info before swapping. Good luck regardless.

D'oh! I only measured the fronts before uninstalling but they did fit 265/75/16 without rubbing on stock wheels. I also have the install receipt from the previous owner.

2 years ago I sold a full set of 99 talls (no shocks) for $75 shipped. It took some time to get a buyer. Started out at $100+shipping, dropped to $100 shipped, then $90, $80, $75. Almost forgot about them at $75 and then got a buyer.
(Ha! Just realized I still have a set of LC coils for a 2nd gen for sale. Oh well, guess I'll leave them up.)
