Here are two indicative shots. There is some surface rust on the pumpkin and axle housing that can probably use some work. (don't have a photo handy)

The underside looks great, actually, so it should be not too much trouble to keep it that way. A lot of guys on here use something non-drying, such as Fluid Film. One guy swears by a certain WD-40 process, and his rig looks like new in his pics. I'm sure you'll find something you like. Again, congrats!

I bet you're gonna fall in love with that T4R. I have owned mine for about 12 years, and I am very attached to it. Also - good looking tires on it. I recently had a set of those installed on mine, and I really like them so far. They were inexpensive, they perform very well, and they look so badass. What's not to love about that?

I sent you a dm with info on those pics, I have to give credit to a member named killer squirrel on the forum. He’s the one that initially gave me the pictures.

Awesome 4Runner man! What are your plans regarding lift? I'm trying to decide whether i want to go with a 2in or a 3in.

No immediate plans for a lift since I live in the Midwest. Not too many things here I can't already drive over!

We'll see how much off-road time I spend in the next six months and then schedule bigger mods from there.

I am actually working on something this weekend...not sure it can be called a "mod" per se, but I think it's going to solve one small issue I've found with the vehicle and certainly be a mark of personalization. Hopefully will post about it tomorrow!

Paid $6,800 "list", plus taxes, title, etc.

While I am no auto expert, for the dozen or so 4Runners I've gone to see in the past 30 months, this was probably the second best as far as frame condition, exterior and interior. The other was a 2007 SR5 but it had some kind of weird fluid leak in the rear and was $12k, so I passed on it.

For the Indy market -- from a dealer, at least -- I think this was a super deal. Nick, just don't tell me they only gave you $3k on trade in... LOL

Awesome congrats! I got mine for 6700 or so out the door its super clean but had 190k so I think you got a good deal!

Congrats man! I'm on the same boat as you, except I bought mine last October and just now started working on it... haha! Yours looks so clean, loving it!
