Thinking about fuel injectors.. possibly cleaning until I saw a complete set of Denso(Toyota marked boxes) injectors on Ebay for around 60 bucks for a complete set. They are brown injectors(I personally dont know the color of my originals). What are your thoughts? At that price, it seems too good to be true.

Brown is the color of the originals, id be skeptical, i went with a new set from motorwest performance for 200 and change. IMO better to be safe then sorry especially with what could happen if one of those were to fail

those are not new....only new to you...they are reconditioned ( rebuilt).........that said....I too went with those rather than cheap copies. I have been running the motorwest ones now for over a year and no issues.
The price has come down since I got mine. and he used to offer a 60 core on the old ones. if so...that brings price down pretty nice

Beware of ebay for "genuine/OEM" parts. The majority of them are counterfeits. Use at your own risk!

Like others have stated, don't go for the ebay/amazon because of the price. Both sets that I bought from there leaked causing hesitation and backfire issues. Thank god they were cheap enough to replace twice though.
I too went to motowest (purchasing the newer grey denso's)-well worth it.

I cleaned and rebuilt a set of the brown ones. It didn’t smooth out my engine.
I sent a set of the grey to Motorwest to be cleaned and flow matched. ($120) Engine now purrs smoothly.
If I had to do it again I’d just buy the $200 reconditioned upgrade set from Motorwest and be done with it.
96-98 is grey
99-2002 is brown

Sorry, I did mean refurbished, yeah they don't sell new ones

But, Martin Diaz, the owner of Motorwest Performance in Southern California offers a lifetime warranty on these Denso injectors. So, it's a pretty safe investment. I've met Martin in person and have corresponded with him many times via phone and email. I can say he's a solid dude and stands behind his products.
The reason why they now sell the Denso injectors and don't refurbish the Aisin OEM injectors anymore is because they noticed internal solenoid defect with them and didn't want to give their customers back injectors that could fail. Martin has total confidence in the Denso injectors and I guess that's why he's offering a lifetime warranty on them.
For those that are interested, here's a video of us swapping injectors on a 3.4 liter V6 in a 1st Gen Tacoma.

My daughter's 96 3.4 is throwing P0301 code. She has replaced spark plugs and coils/wires-Amazon. Still getting code, runs poorly. I tried the screwdriver listen test and heard injector clicking. Rig has over 200k miles. Not sure if I should just replace the injector or all. Compression has not been checked. Her boyfriend has done the work up to this point. What are the thoughts on the MotorWest vs having the originals gone through by WitchHunter? WH is less than 50 miles away from me.
Which hunter had a considerable lead time on injector service. That’s why I sent mine to Motorwest, their lead time was half of the other outfits, that and they answer the phone and e-mail, and are a few bucks a cheaper.
Easy choice to ship south.
