Question ARB Deluxe Bumper Turn Signal Light Hookup?

Hey all,

I recently bought a wrecked 3rd gen and decided buy the ARB Deluxe Bumper (PN: 3423020) to replace the broken oem one. Ive got it all assembled without too much trouble but i cannot figure out how to splice my turn signal lights into my oem harness. Can help shed some light as to what i need to do?

Did the side markers come with the ARB bumper? If so, the harnesses should have come with them and they’re a direct plug in.

When I installed my 4x bumper, I just cut off the old bulb clip, and soldered the power and ground to the appropriate wires on the turn signal. I added in a waterproof connector as well in case the bumper needs to come off.

If your turn signals have the male blade connector, you can just buy the female blade ends from a hardware store, but I would recommend cutting those off and using solder and shrink wrap.

Yeah, so the ARB bumper i got is supposed to be for the tacoma, but a lot of people use them for the 3rd gen 4runners. So they arnt a direct plug in unfortunately.

What do you think about those pre made shrink wraps with the wire connectors inside of the wrap itself? Would soldering them be more durable?

I see that in my above post that I made no mention of lights...only the winch...I did mean to also mention lights, cause timmys video they too adapt the tacoma ARB to a 4runner and they talk about lighting...in that they also talk about having to change flasher relays because the ARB lights are LED and make the flashers go too fast
