Just put Eibach coils and Bilstein 5100s up front on my 1999....only got 1.25” of lift?

Do these take a little bit of driving to get them settled? I was expecting at least 2”.

I’m getting 285/75s tomorrow and now I feel like I’m going to have an issue fitting them with only having got 1.25”.

In the back I did OME 890 and Bilstein 5100 and got the full 3” on each side.

What gives?

Bottom clip, because coils are advertised as 2.5”

Things will likely settle (drop) a bit. The fronts are not going to get any taller. At least you can go up a notch if you want to.

1999 stock front coil springs are 1" taller than other model years so that's fairly accurate. 2.5" advertised minus 1" for being a 99. Move it up a clip or two. When springs settle they only get shorter not longer. Also, a lift only helps clear larger tires at ride height. If you articulate your front suspension (flex) the suspension still follows the same arc as before you lifted the front.

Measure from the center of the hub to the fender lip. "Stock" height is 20" - calculate your lift from that point. '99 4WD's start out around 21" from the factory (already 'lifted' 1").
