I have 24F batteries on the 4Runner and 2000 Land Cruiser.
They make almost every lead acid car battery. I think quality depends on your region and the label it is sold under. Costco sells them with the best warranty, but I went through three in a row. They all leaked. My charging system is working perfect too.

It’s AGM only for me. I’m too fussy to put up with gungy terminals and corroded hold down straps.

I’ve got a Deka agm as sold at low range off-road. I found that the same deka is sold at Canadian tire as a motomaster. 2 years and so far so good. Last motomaster agm (spiral grid) lasted 10 years.

Odyssey PC 1500 34R. First one bought in July, 2013 when I acquired the vehicle. Just changed it out ofter 6.75 years as preventative maintenance. Old one still working fine, tests perfect. Stock electrical system. No special charging routine besides normal driving. I've run the stereo for hours while camping, but this is always followed by a long drive home. I like that there's no corrosion issue, and the vibration resistance is appreciated as I sometimes drive a long distance on very washboarded roads.

Good ol' reliable Duralast Gold from Autozone for just daily driver duty. It wasn't $300 and I just forget about it under the hood.

If you buy a flooded battery that has the ability to check the water level you won’t have the nasty terminal corrosion.

I always coat my terminals in a conductive grease to keep them clean.
I’ve been using this stuff for all but 40 years as an Industrial Electrician.

I’ve had good luck with interstate from Costco and ever start max from Walmart.

I’ve run a few Optima batteries. They did no better than standard batteries other than use in high vibration applications like boats. Even then they don’t impress.
2x the cost, but certainly not 2x the battery. Maybe a 15-20% improvement at best.

That battery has some serious ass.

I almost bought two of those for my Cummins.

They are

930cca
195rc
92ah

But it’s 360-400 dollars. Compared to 120 for a MTP-27f which is

710cca
165rc

If I had the money to spend id buy that battery. I forgot I seen those at Cabela’s when they first opened in Hamburg, Pa.

Battery

I used to only get my Diehard batteries from sears, now I get my batteries from Sam's club Duracell because of the great warranty. Last month I was 3 days away from the 36 months and got a brand new battery for free.

I really miss being able to get DieHards from Sears since it closed. That's the only battery I would buy for many years and never had a single bit of trouble.

Yea dude I compared the stats vs the other ones and this one has the highest ratings:

Pulse cranking amps: 1750 A
CCA rating at -18°C (0°F): 930 A
CA/MCA rating at 0°C (32°F):1080 A
Reserve capacity: 195 min
Capacity - 20 hour rate (1.75 vpc): 92 Ah
Short circuit current 5000 A
Warranty 4 years full

I just pulled up my invoice and I only paid $263.99 for the Northstar AGM 24F battery for my 4Runner. I do remember with the group buy it was a really good deal and I bet I don't have to buy another battery lol.

I also bought the CTEK (56-353) Multi US 7002 12v battery charger from Amazon since I heard AGM batteries should be charged every now and then. Also cuz I'm only on Stock Alternator.

I think the OP should have posted a budget lol. Obviously the sky's the limit for CCA's and amp hours but how much does he have to spend? I'm under the assumption he doesn't want to drop $400 on a battery.

Yea when I seen those north star 27s at cabela’s I blew a nut until I seen the price. I tried justifying it and couldn’t. So I bought megatron plus 27 interstates. They lasted 8 years. I replaced them this past winter. I kept 1 as a spare jump battery. It tests a 650cca yet.
