Looking to do Fuel Injector replacement

Hey guys, so I watched this video: YouTube
and it didn't seem to be too much work to do the job myself but I was wondering, does anyone know what the part number would be for OEM refurbished injectors for a 99? In the video he mentions Motorwest Performance but does anyone else know if anyone else would have a better deal? Times are tough and I'd like to save money where I can, within reason of course.

Motorwest is around $220 for a tested and tuned set.
Your other option is Amazon or similar for a set of refurbished (?) Denso injectors.

If your tearing the top off you probably want to do valve cover gaskets at the same time unless they are new-ish.

Why do you want to replace the injectors?

For around $120 you can get them cleaned and tuned. If you can have the rig down that long.

I'm getting a P0302 code for sure, I'll randomly get a P0301 and P0300 as well but after driving for a bit it seems to settle on P0302 so I'm hoping it's just injector 2 but feel I may as well just replace them all. Any particular gaskets that are recommended?

All the intake manifold gaskets. The injectors should come with their bushings and O-rings.

Have you dealt with the plugs, wires, coils?

Yes unfortunately. I first changed out my throttle body rubber tube since there was a hole in it, then did plugs and wires and finally since none of that seemed to have worked swapped out the coil packs from cylinder 1 and 5 with each other only to have the code remain the same.

Avoid all the fake 'genuine OEM!!!' injectors on eBay. They're some cheap junk for sale there that look real, but don't work properly.

These are what I used in mine:

Denso Fuel Injectors, 1999-2002 Toyota 4Runner, 2000-2004 Tundra, 1999-2004 Tacoma 3.4L

There was a problem with one of the ones I had bought, but they stood behind their product and sent me a replacement, and I have had no problems since then. That was a few years ago.

Thanks, I'll definitely be looking around for quotes on parts. What's the best location for gaskets? Rockauto?

If I don't buy OEM, then RockAuto is always my 2nd choice. Every bit as much for their superb customer service (order speed, great website, etc.) as for their generally pretty good quality parts.

If every business ran like RockAuto and McMaster-Carr run, then the world would be a much better place.

A tip for anyone who doesn't know, when checking out they don't have an explicit code field for coupons but if you find one and put it in the how'd you hear about us field in the payment screen it'll take. I've only ever gotten like $1.5 off though

Yep - and if you order from them somewhat regularly and get on their mailing list, they will send you discount codes throughout the year. Usually 5% off. And their system is so good, that if you forget to add that code, you can go back and apply it before your order ships (which is almost always the same day or only 1 day later), then they will adjust your order balance, after the fact.

thats like 300 for a set...link says 49 per injector.... and you had a problem and had to wait for replacement injector. was replacement flow matched to others ?
just asking........
as far as gaskets...the injectors should come with the o rings you need for them...rock auto could be good for intake etc...but you should still get the crush washers for the fuel rail and I dont think rock auto has them...last I looked. neither did autozone napa etc things can change....that was 2 years ago.
the fuel rails use "crush " washers...that means one time use. I know others have reused...but that can be an issue....they dont call them crush washers for nothing and they are not intended for multiple use or to re use.not saying I never have re-used crush washers...in an easy to get to application or in a hurry...but now I would not mess with them to re-use in that application where i would have to pull manifolds again to get to.. unless I wanted to gamble or do things twice....i dont like doing things twice anymore...thats me

I went with these per a few recommendations on this forum. Installed this weekend when installing a supercharger. Haven’t run the engine yet because I’m waiting on new tensioner bolts and belts. Denso Fuel Injector Upgrade Set for 3.4L V6 4Runner Tacoma and Tundra – HP831 – MotorWest Performance

I don't recall exactly, since it was several years ago. I'm leaning more towards it wasn't working at all than mis-matched flow. I remember being pissed that they didn't seem to have tested it before selling it, but at least they made it right, and quickly.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

What's the difference between this one and stock? Would a ECU change be needed for these?
