We'll find out soon enough anyways, I ordered the cheaper ones because why not? I saw them for sale on eBay with a review saying it fit their 3rd gen 4Runner, so I figured there's at least some chance they'll fit mine. If anything one could trim them up as needed

So I was given a generous amount of paracord in a survival bag I received. Was curious if anyone here has wrapped their steering wheel with it? If so, pictures please for inspiration. Thanks!

How much extra weight up front? If none I imagine around 1 and 2 inches respectively, give or take a pinch

I got 21.5" from hub center to lip of my '98 Limited flares
when I installed NIB Tundra TRD coils (y/y & y/b) set at lowest
notch on Tundra 5100s. Stock bumper and 3.4L engine.
Original CV boots protested almost immediately.
Hope that helps!

Don't know if this helps any?

The 3rd Gen All Questions Allowed Thread

I wrapped it over existing (trashed) leather,
but I did remove the inner core strands first. Threw in a lil rally stripe for fun.
I still haven't come up with a good way to continue the wrap at the spokes.

It is rather comfortable and provides adequate grip with or w/o gloves.
It has held up admirably for several years, but the cord traps dirt very easily as you can see.
That's probably my only major gripe about using cordage instead of a proper re-cover.

Looks good! Thank you for your response. The stuff I got is a high vis orange. It was free so that's the only reason I'm interested in doing it. I could do my grab handles instead or something but I think the steering wheel would be a cool thing to do.

Questions

Anybody know the height measurement of the cargo area? I want to know how big of a box I can fit in there.

What are the pros and cons to lifting the vehicle with aftermarket suspension? Given my vehicle is 2wd, I will not be needing to clear any obstacles since I will not be crawling. But how is daily drivability affected? Is the gas mileage decreased? Obviously a lifted truck looks cooler, and I just realized how cheap the parts are. Is it worth it to lift it just for looks?

Also, I ordered 32" tires since I was told that that is the largest compatible size with stock suspension. If I DO lift, now can I run 33s?

Also, the regional forum is dead. I would like to meet and hang out with fellow 4runner owners in the DFW area (I am new here) and explore and hit some nice trails.

Thank you.

Is it 4WD? Automatic or 5-speed? Moonroof? SR5 or limited? 3.4 or 2.7?

But either way, I agree with @Devbot

Limited were all 3.4L automatic with moon roof. Other questions apply along with whether all required maintenance has been done, condition and mileage.

$5,500 might be a very fair price in this market

I've seen them in Georgia for twice that price. I'd run a Carfax on the VIN and make sure everything is legit first.

It is 2WD and has had regular maintenance. I know the guy who is selling it and he has taken Good care of it. The seats have 0 rips. The only thing that makes me sad is it’s 2WD
