Limited Fender Flare Clips/Fasteners

Searched through a bunch of threads and essentially came up with the two part numbers of :

Limited Fender Flare / Cladding Removal and Re-Install

9090467036 - blue clips
9090467037 - red clips

it does appear that they aren't the actual factory clips or they superseded by Toyota at some point.

The above thread fails to mention the part numbers for the metal(?) rivets that go underneath the Limited Flares on the quarter panel and front fenders. Does anyone know the part numbers for them? Or is this just a rivet that is commonly found at a hardware store?

I just ordered some of the thick plastic clips that attach the liner inside the wheel well for the front fenders and the screws with washers that attach the fender flare and liner together. Could that be what you mean, the screw with washer for the fender flares?

Screw w/washer part# 90159-60476

Scratch that, while looking more I did see a rivet. Rivet part# 90269-04047

If anyone is curious here are the dimensions for the rivet. 5/32" (4mm).

Toyota 5/32" (4mm) Specialty Rivets 90269-04047

Thanks for finding what I couldn't.

While the red and blue clips might fit (even though I think they are actually wrong), they don't just fit into the fender. I remember pulling out an insert in the rear fender flare but neither of these fit in the front slot.

I highly doubt that the fender flares mounting was change per model year as well (re-engineering is a very expensive thing).

Did you drill those rivets out or are there other ways they can be removed?

For the flare that is attached to the rear door, did you remove the door panel to get to those red & blue clips?

You can break the rivet apart (its just thick plastic) or drill it.

For the rear door, don't know I'm not removing it. The rivets and clips aren't cheap and I'm looking to prep my 4runner for sale.

The clips are different between early and late 3rd Gens.

well that thread was for a '97 while mine is a '98.

Anyways moving on. From a microfiche stand point most of the fasteners aren't easily found on camelback / etc. Contacting a dealer for part numbers is the way to go.
