SPC UCA making contact with strut mount only on passenger side. Help needed!
It's a 2000 4runner with 2.5" ome lift, 90004 struts up front.
I've been having this problem, a couple problems really, for months now and I just today discovered what at least one of the problems is but not really sure of the cause.
The right front suspension has been making a pretty bad screeching/scraping sound when the suspension travels at all (no idea what is causing this.. everything looks fine) and if I accidentally hit a speed bump going too fast there was an obvious thud of clunk from the passenger front side. I just looked today and that clunk has happened so many times that I can see an obvious mark where the upper control arm has been hitting the strut mount. But it's only on the passenger side. Could a bad strut allow that extra travel? I don't see any other reason why the passenger side would make contact while the driver's side doesn't.
Any help would be appreciated and I can supply more details if needed.
Thanks
