So Im back......

With more questions.
I started a thread awhile back about stalling and over the last 3 months can't get it right. If you are bored here is the thread. Lets talk tests

So I changed the fuel injectors out today with a set of reman from Motorworks. Datalog and a new fuel pressure regulator form Toyota everything seems like we have fixed the issue.
25 min drive with varying idle throttle and cruise speeds.

Going home to finally say its done and yep.....sputters and stalls 3 blocks from home. Coast it up in the driveway and won't restart. No codes and datalog was good but just sudden shut off.

Finally got it restarted and 40 psi fuel pressure.
To get it to restart I have to push the gas peddle to the floor. That to me was always fuel related but now Im just figuring Im an idiot.

Help??

Could be an issue with your IAC. Your IAC provides air to your engine when idling and upon deceleration (taking your foot off the gas pedal but you're still moving at a good speed).

This video might help you out.

Went outside to take another look and now misfire multiple cylinders
1-2-6
Better than before I had 1-2-3-4-6

So now the long term fuel trim is back up due to the misfires.
I had a set of injectors cleaned and it helped but misfires started after that.
I just installed a new reman set and now still same issue.
To begin with the fuel trims were great for that first 25 min. Now going back to the same issues.

Crank sensor??
ECU ??

Possessed by a demon??

Haven’t experienced it in my 4TR but had a failing fuel pump in an older Datsun that was sporadic and very hard to diagnose.
Replaced more parts than I care to say but eventually eliminated all else and replaced the pump, problem gone.
Hate to suggest it as I know replacing parts get old and expensive real quick.

The issue is getting old quick.
But on your thought when it sputter it did give me the thought of no fuel.

Going along fine 40 mph and a cough with quick engine light that immediately went off.

Then give it more gas to see whats going on and cough. Sputter and run fine.

I first thought the fuel gauge was wrong and questioned if it was out of gas.

In trying to restart it can you actually get it restarted by pushing down on the pedal? If that is the case it may be you are missing cam or crank signal or both. I once had a GM truck where I replaced the ECU to fix one problem only to lose both the cam and crank signal. Replaced the crank sensor after seeing on an oscilloscope no crank signal, and wallah, all goes well. But I had to have a tech with a scope verify a hunch.

How does the spark look?

In trying to restart the push it to the floor seems to help but not always. It just so happens it does work maybe by default in my mind.

Ill go back to spark but I replaced all coils w new and spark plug wires and spark plugs. Have about 50 miles on them. 50 miles in 3 months to add. It has been sitting due to reliability.

I curious what your fuel pressure is at stull? Could even be an intermittently failing fuel pump. Hence why it's acting like this. Just a thought. Can you bring the gauage in so you can read it real time while your driving? This should prove if its fuel pump or not.

Have you checked for water in the gas? That or a clogged fuel filter. I saw that you changed it already, but when I had tank rust in an old F-150, I was clogging fuel filters amazingly quickly.

You could try dumping the current fuel filter into a glass jar (let the fuel flow out from the inlet side) just to see what it looks like.

Gauge is not long enough for me to see I don't think. I could take the hood off and drive around I suppose. I bet a good scan tool might be able to see fuel pressure.

At this point Ill drop the tank if thats what it takes
