Rear cupholder

Our 1997 got totaled by a careless driver at the beginning of the year. I remember how much I searched for the replacement rear cup holders for that one so I saved them if we ended up with another 3rd gen.

Last week we found a lowish miles 2000 SR5 Sport and picked it up. I noticed that it was missing the rear cupholder and I thought no problem since I have one for it at home... But when I got home I realized that the center console was different and the older rear cup holders were slightly wider than the newer style.

Anyone have a rear cupholder they want to get rid of or trade for the early style?

Also please tell me that the early style center console didn't have the double opening like the late versions? I couldn't have missed that for all those years on our old one right? It was funny that the PO didn't know that the rear window rolled down with the key. They looked so disappointed when we showed them.

The cupholders are physically interchangeable between all 3rd Gens. The difference is that the '01-02 models had beefier arms than the '96-00.

'96-00:

'01-02:

I have a few cupholders laying around, but some have broken arms - what exactly do you need, I may be able to get you something?

And yes, '96-98 consoles had a single lid (and no front cupholders), while the '99+ had the double layer lid and front cupholders.

The one I have from our 97 will not physically fit in the 2000. The 97 one is wider and will not slide in.

I've swapped numerous cupholders and they all interchanged perfectly. Which portion is too wide? I can go make some measurements on my spare parts to compare to yours.

Yep, I bought his front and rear prints. Don’t know what I’d do without them.

Anyone have a good source to get these? Just search ebay until the right color pops?

Now that I know about the 3d Printed ones, my OEM Tan/Oak rear unit may be available soon....I don't know why anyone would want to keep the flimsy factory units. My kids will be breaking those soon (with their knees or feet - these are not designed for 6'+ humans).
