AT-205 Re-seal

I regularly watch Scotty Kilmer and ChrisFix on YouTube. More than a few times they’ve mentioned using AT-205 Re-seal to rejuvenate old rubber seals. Currently my 4Runner has no leaks. But, it’s 23 years old. Should I use the re-sealer anyway? Would it hurt anything if I did?

I'm personally a fan of Blue Devil products. I've used a couple on other vehicles with success, but not on my 4runner.

Were your vehicles leaking when you used the products?

Yes they were. I most recently used it on a Subaru that was leaking oil from behind the timing chain. It took a couple days of driving for it to work since I didn't drive it much at all, but it did stop the leak.

I used the At205 to stop a leak on a rear main seal on my jeep. It worked great. If I have to pull the tired 4.2l out then a v8 is going in. It just bought me a couple more years

If it's not leaking, why do you want to use additives?
Age is not the problem with the engine. Years are for humans and geology. An engine.... no!
