It is possible to install the ARB in a way that is reversible. If you use the Tacoma brackets, which come with the bumper, you can cut off the sides with the captive nut and weld them to the cut ends of the 4runner frame. This allows for the factory bumper brackets to be bolted back to the original frame if you ever choose to do so.
Also make sure the shop inserts tubing into the frame where the ARB bolts through. This strengthens the mounts and prevents the frame from deformation due to load/torquing of the bolts.
