What's your favorite car cover?
Hi everyone,
This is my first post in this section of the forum because I just purchased a one owner '98 3rd gen for my daughter but I have to keep it under wraps for 2 years when she turns 16! I would like to find out what car covers you all are using.
Thx

https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/?tr...Father%27s+Day
I have used covercraft for several years on many different vehicles, and they make a quality product.

Thanks for the suggestion. I see they have few choices of covers, which one do you have? If you have any pics, that'd be great!
Thanks.

Literally just ordered my Custom Evolution CarCover last week. Should take about 4-5 weeks to make it. It's all down to your needs, which clearly indicates you just need something to cover the vehicle. Keep in mind it will not completely cover from top to the bottom of the tires. The tires will be somewhat visible.
Are you keeping it indoors or outdoors? Do you have plans to drive the vehicle with your daughter not around at times? Is it staying indoors for 2 years?
Covercraft has great options for indoors/and or outdoors use so check it out. I ended up going with a Evolution (no logo, nighttime reflective striping with wind guard and lock grommet) so I'm pretty excited about it. Need to protect my vehicle from idiots who open their door wide open

It's gonna sit outside for two years so the cover has to be durable against the New Mexico UV rays. I'll drive it now and then but no plans. I'll remove the insurance on it as well.

where did you go get it from and how much was it? I punched up the p/n Custom Evolution Car Cover
Price $277.00 USD
Part #: C15299GK
in amazon but didn't get the exact cover par # but I see it on CoverCraft's site for $277. I was hoping for a better price elsewhere.

I purchased the Covercraft Evolution car cover for my 1998 4runner from Carcoverworld.com last year. It's advertised for indoor/ outdoor use and very UV resistant. Paid $240. It's a custom cover that fits like a glove and covers to about half way down the wheels. Seems to be very sturdy. The site has a number of options to choose from as far as fabrics and usage so I recommend that you go to the site and choose your cover material based on your needs. You can order samples of the fabrics for $1.

Milsurp parachute works wonders. Dirt cheap too.

I ordered mine direct from CoverCraft.com - I had to call in a special order in order to have the logo deleted because they do not offer the option on the website.
C99999GK - Car Cover with RW (nighttime reflective stripping option added)
C18036GK - No Covercraft Branding/Logo
ZCBL - Cable & Lock Kit
$396.00
$11.00
Total: $407.00 before tax
Pricey yes but at the same time I'm looking at this as a long term investment when it comes to ding protection and the fact it will be custom fitted is an added bonus. I see a couple of folks in my apartment lot with generic car covers and needless to say I am not impressed with the look of it - and the materials itself look cheap and fragile
edit: Keep in mind I have a 5th gen Limited so that is probably why mine cost more than yours since yours is a 3rd gen
