This may be the magic bullet for rust/corrosion prevention - and it is super easy!

I recently bought a motorcycle that I am storing outside under a vented cover. I was doing some research on how to prevent rust and corrosion on motorcycles stored outdoors and found this product.

If you are a pilot or own a motorcycle you may already be familiar with ACF-50 Anti-Corrosion Spray. Most of the reviews I saw were from European motorcycle owners.

This product is manufactured by Lear Chemical out of Canada. It is made to a military spec that ensures it is safe to spray on engines, wiring, and electronics. On a car or motorcycle you donÂ’t want to get it on your brakes, wheels, or tires. On motorcycles you donÂ’t want to get it on your hand grips, foot pegs, or seat. Everywhere else is OK. You donÂ’t need to waste it on your paint, but if you get some overspray on painted surfaces it wonÂ’t hurt them.

IÂ’ve been using this stuff for a few months on both my 4Runner and my motorcycle. It got rid of some very light surface rust on my hitch. It will make your car or motorcycle smoke for a few minutes as it burns off.

Buy the 32oz bottle and put 1/3 or 1/2 of it into a quality sprayer. I would not use the sprayer it comes with. I used one of 3 amber glass bottles I bought on Amazon for $18. The ACF-50 was $36 on Amazon. Put the bottle in a bucket of hot water for about 10 minutes - it will spray perfectly when heated.

Watch the YouTube video linked below. Start the video over if it starts in the middle. This guy got an old rusted brake rotor and divided it into 12 sections like a clock. He applied ACF-50 and 11 other products. Only ACF-50 and one other product prevented rust outdoors. The other product is a competitor of ACF-50 and works by being super sticky.

For painting your frame and undercarriage I would recommend Corroseal Primer, then Chassis Saver by Magnet Paints, then a topcoat of black Magnetron also from Magnet Paints. Of course you would then apply ACF-50 over the topcoat from time to time.

If you don’t have time right now to use the paints recommended above just use the ACF-50 until later.

That is a really cool thing, to be honest I didn't knew about it and I was always paying to services to do that, I will buy one for sure. I know about a lot of stuff for vehicle maintenance and care since I needed that solution from scratches. Because once, one of my friend wrote "moron" with a dirty peace of paper and the letters remained on the bike. So I found it on Throttle Buff, since that time I always use this site when I have a problem with my bike, or I just want to find out something new. I ride more than 10 years already, but this website proves me that I don't know everything yet haha.
