What front locker are you running?

For those of you who have pieced together what I'm doing on this forum you'll know where I'm at in the project. For those who don't you'll figure it out soon.

I'm running an ARB locker in the rear with 4.88. I'm getting ready to build the front and drop 4.88 in as well. My question is a selectable locker on the rear makes sense since we drive in 2wd most the time. But since im regearing the front diff I mine as well lock it. A selectable isn't as mandatory since front diff is only engaged when in 4wd. So my questions are these...

What locker are you running in front? Pros and cons of the locker in your experience? If you did it again would you go a different route? If so which?

Detroit truetrac. Lots to like about it. Works well for all purpose wheeling. Not for rock crawling as many will tell you. Both my 4Runners have these in front and I love them.

ARB.

If you want a true locker it's either ARB, Zip or Harrop. The ARB is stronger, it's truly instant, and you'll want the compressor anyway for filling up tires when your done with the trail. ARB is the strongest carrier you can get. ARB has readily available parts should it ever need to be repaired, I have a buddy with a Harrop that's going to have to wait 2 months before he can get the electromagnet to fix his. I can't speak for the Yukon Zip but saving a $100 bucks over the ARB for a weaker carrier wouldn't be worth it for me.

If you wheel hard enough to need a front locker you also might want to start saving some pennies for RCV CV's. Without them you'll be trail swapping CV's more then you want to.

If you have an ARB in the rear already then that would be an obvious choice for the front since you have air already.

This thought is what prompted the original post. I was looking at putting another ARB in but is it worth it to spend that much on a selectable up front? Why not use a cheaper lunchbox style? Or any other option? It's only engaged when in 4wd.

Have you ever driven a rig with a locked front off-road? When locked it is incredibly hard to turn the steering wheel. That's a big reason to go selectable. You can unlock, adjust tire direction then re-lock. You can't do that with a lunchbox.

The other reason is strength. If you only cruise fire roads a lunchbox might be fine. I don't know anyone who wants a front locker to cruise fire roads though. If you want to play in big rocks you also want the strongest carrier and spiders you can get. That's ARB.
