Stereo woes

Hello

I'm taking the route of hard wiring (yeah, not my preferred method ) my Alpine KTP445A amp & my Alpine HD149BT stereo in my 2001 Limited. I have totally wired this thing to where it should be but I'm wondering now if this ever-so-vague "1987-up" s^@t that is all I can find is accurate or not. I wired everything properly and now I'm not getting ANYTHING from the aftermarket.

Can someone PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD give me a copy of a wiring diagram that is WITHOUT FAIL correct? I have the FM/CD/Cassette with factory amp.....

I have been trying and trying to google and search function an answer but everything I can find is confusing or inconclusive...Including what the hell I am supposed to do for my power antenna (do I wire the pink/blue with the black/white and tie it into the aftermarket "power antenna" wire?

HELP

I dont have a diagram but, did you remove the factory amp? My head unit wouldn't work with it and didnt have any sound but, once I took the amp out of the system, it worked fine

Based on my memory of doing this install 7 years ago (in a 1997 4R), ^^this is true.
I remember working from the instructions provided by Crutchfield. They seemed good at the time, for my vehicle.

Yes, I did that, and replaced it with the aftermarket in-dash amp. I tried the stereo without the amp in between it and the speaker wires as well to no avail.

Here is the 2002 EWD. Your 2001 should be the same.

Describe your issue in more detail. No sign of power or it powers up but no sound? If no power ay all, check BOTH fuses ACC and DOME. Do NOT just look. Use a meter or swap in a known good one. Also check the fuses (in-line or built-in) on your new unit.

Alpine manual - PAGE 52

I am not sure where you are stuck. The install is straight forward if you got the aftermarket wiring harness. Please refer to ALPINE install manual starting on page 52:

http://support.alpine-usa.com/produc...HD149BT_EN.pdf

Everything else should fall in place. If not, please take pix of your wiring please
