I’ve got a knock while turning slowly over a bump.

It’s coming from the front passenger side and rear passenger side. New OEM LBJs up front. Pretty sure Inner and Outer Tie Rods up front need to be replaced as my steering rack boots have been busted for a while. Replacing those when I do the tie rods. Rly hoping I don’t need a new rack. Front struts need to be placed as well. Lower bushings? are shot and it’s off center at the lower connection.

Recently I replaced the LBJs, rear axle seals, brake cylinders and rear brake shoes. I’ve started to notice the knock since then. CVs are only a couple years old and in good shape.

Any other recs?

Maybe rear shocks along with front struts? Which bushings should I focus on? All Tokico shocks and struts. 33” wheels. 3” body lift and a spacer on top of the front struts. All added by previous owner.

I was getting a clunk in the front passenger side before I realized my sway bar end link had snapped on the upper connection. The clunk was the two connecting ends making contact when I went over a bump while turning, or even just on some turns.

Have you done a visual inspection to make sure it's nothing obvious like that?

That wouldn't explain the clunk you mentioned in the rear, but it's somewhere to start.

Upper Ball Joints tend to "clunk" when they have play in them and most noticeably over speed bumps. I would check yours to see if they have any play in them.

I have the same problem I believe they’re upper ball joints... only thing in the front suspension I haven’t replaced yet

Bushings and end links look fine

Not the end links or bushings there. Both are fine.

I believe both need to be replaced. Probably original and the boots look a mess. But still wondering about the rear in this situation.

I’m pretty sure all bushings in the front need to be swapped. It’s just odd I’m hearing the same knock on the same side front and back.

for what it's worth I had a clunking/knocking from my front driver's side wheel for months that would happen whenever the weight of the vehicle would kinda move around (for example, uneven pavement, manhole covers, etc.). As far as I could tell it was only at low speeds, and I tried a few times to fix it but it kept coming back. Well in the end all I did was take my tire off, tightened everything up with the hardest pulls I could muster, and it went completely away - nothing felt loose and all my bushings and ball joints were in acceptable shape. This was well over a month ago and I've been enjoying the ride much better. It was a free fix, so maybe worth a shot to give it another once over. If you had someone else work on it for you, maybe they blasted them with an impact gun and something's too tight

Yeah I’ll give that a go. I do all of my own work. Mine is only at low speeds as well. Like pulling into the driveway or a bump on a turn.

Shit, forgot about the driveway. It would clunk twice for me there
