Both electric front windows hard to operate

1998 4Runner Limited. Right side required a lot of push/pull on the switch to move - I cleaned the harness/plug with deoxit a few months back but now it is both sides/windows and any/either switch. I’m thinking a common point but this is my 16 year old sons vehicle (new to him) and I’m not too familiar with the vehicle yet. Help appreciated!

Are you saying the switch is hard to operate/move or the window itself is slow/intermittent?

It appears to be the switch.

Contacts are probably corroded because a dingbat PO left the windows open during rain. It's probably more effective to just buy a new switch, assuming that is the problem.

Can you clarify which switches you are having problems with? Is it all switches for all windows, or is it only some of them?

At the moment seems limited to the driver window switch. Deoxit sprayed on the contacts (harness and plug side) resolves temporarily. I’ve ordered a replacement assembly from SwitchDoctor.com.
