Quick question about CB antenna ground

Getting everything together for my CB in the ash tray install. Going to use the Uniden pro520xl to FireStik MU8R18 to FireStik K4r stud to FireStik SS3H spring to FireStik 5 foot tunable antenna. While using this rear antenna mount.

From what I gather with this kind of a set up the ground is the mount going to the body. Now can I add another ground to it just to make sure there are no ground issues? If so, is there a place within the stud where I can add a braided ground wire without it touching the hot? Or would I have to add the ground wire to the mount and then to a body ground?

Ideally I'd like to just use a wire as ground not the mount so I don't have to sand down the powder coat in certain spots. Thank you.

I'd use existing radio ground, create a new one to steering shaft (bolts all over) or if feeling spicy go all the way to the battery....choices choices.....

Sorry I should of specified I meant the ground for the antenna which I heard is needed for low SWR. The radio ground I was just going to take to my accessories fuse box.
