X2 on this. I recently had a slightly rough idle and a bit of hesitation if I got on it at highway speeds. Giving the MAF sensor (really cleaning it, pulling it out of the airbox) and cleaning the throttle body smoothed it right out. Fuel filter going in this weekend for good measure
A couple of years ago I had a real misfire due to a cracked exhaust valve and it didn't throw codes for months. Simple stuff first, process of elimination. If you try all the above and it's still giving you trouble, only other things I'd check are ignition coils (not likely), PCV valve/hose, and then get yourself a compression test to rule that out.
