I didn't use that power. What I did was I ran a fused hot wire into my charging ports so that they would be constant on instead of keyed, I use a small inverter to power a quick charger set up. So I just run my power up from there. My clock wires are still connected behind. Mine would randomly turn on while driving down the road, but never stayed on very long.

I just purchased this cd magnet mount. I hope it works well for me. I just got it in the mail and getting ready to use it.

Great idea with the hand grab mount! What kind of camera is that? Thanks

Ahh okay. I had asked because from what I understand the clock circuit is usually fine its a spring within the clock itself that goes bad.

Clock shares the 15 amp dome fuse with a lot of other things for it's main power source. I wouldn't recommend tying into it for power for a fast charging power supply due to fast charging pulling 7-10 amps depending on the fast charger and phone.

I admit, this was an idea first contrived from I believe @sleepydad and then added onto with the camera. It's just an 'el cheapo Cooau 4k camera you can use as a dash cam. I've got a 1080p one installed in the back so I've got almost 360 degree coverage

I believe @mtbtim and @infamousRNR did a video on that particular mounting location. Might have been for a scan guage though.
