Bud built belly skid rubs transfer case

I just installed a set of budbuilt skids and while the engine skid fits great, the belly skid won’t fit without hanging the front of it off the bottom of the engine skid, against the directions, and even with .5” of washers between the crossmembers and the skid, it still hits the transfer case.

I know some of y’all have these skids, how did you make them fit?

I don't have skids yet, but what condition are your motor mounts and trans mounts? I'm taking a wild guess they are collapsed and causing a sag. Just a guess though.

The motor mounts are factory, but I replaced the trans mount about a year and a half ago.

Do the multimode transfer cases hang lower than J shift cases? I was thinking maybe BudBuilt designed the skids for a J shift truck and my multimode case is just bigger.

Hopefully not too obvious, but did you take off the factory 'skid' from the transfer case?

Haha yes. I'd have needed an inch of spacers to make it fit otherwise.

in my case (Multi-Mode TC), the bottom of the transfer case skid plate is lower than the bottom of the nearest cross-member by about a quarter of an inch.
