weird electrical problem
I got in the truck today and started it up and drove about 1/2 a mile and it cutout all of a sudden. It then ran fine. About 50 ft later the trcuk starting died out. The lights lit up on the dash; oil pressure, battery, etc. Except I noticed the Check Engine was flickering getting brighter and then just really dim. The lights below the tach that say what gear you are in were lit up weird. The lights for D & 2 were lit up at the same time. It cranked over fine but would not start. I tried again and it fired right up. I drove it and it kept dieing but would start up again. While it was running there were no warning lights on. It then finally died and would not start. After I turned the ignition off and removed the key, the check engine, AT trans temp, Airbag, and gear indicators showing D and 2 were all still lit but very dimly. It is at the shop but they are worried that it is something that got wet and won't be able to diagnose it when it dries. Also when cranking it I hear a relay clicking which sounds to be behind the gauges. When it was running and dieing out I could hear that relay clicking really fast and the Check engine seemed to be pulsating in time with the clicking. sorry for the long post but trying to be as detailed as possible.
