What Does those Wire Go To?

This is hanging down under the dash next to the console on the drivers side. I have looked and looked. I feel it may be a temp sensor?

Regardless I have no idea where it goes. Does anyone else?

What year/trim/engine?

If it's an 01/02, could it be the pedal position sensor? The 01/02 TBU is drive-by-wire (with a cable assist for emergencies)

2000 Limited as in signature. The wire and plug are factory as far as I can tell?

You have auto climate control ?
My 01 has auto controls and has that mounted to lower cover at right knee slots in cover. It reads cabin ambient temp. Should have electrical going to it.

Yes it’s automatic climate control. Would you send a pic of yours if you have a moment please?

yes it's the cabin temp sensor(Room Temperature Sensor Toyota vernacular) for the auto climate control. if it's not plugged in correctly you will get full blast heat all the time.

The only reason I know this.... is because one time I forgot to plug it back in and I had full blast heat all the time.

this is the best I can do right now, it should be connected to the inside of the lower finish panel (the panel below the steering wheel) also has a 2 wire plug that should be super obvious... it's a pain because if you try to remove that lower panel it always gets in the way. I would take a picture but it's dark here and I'm 3 to 5 beers into it right now.

What Does those Wire Go To?

Dude go buy a case and send the bill, you just saved me troubleshooting this.
Runner I bought 3 1/2 yr ago has this problem, bottom priority cause of my location.
This first time I've had panel off noticed wire unplugged from sensor, that cool as Shiite.
