Removing Rear Differential Bearing Races
Anyone got any tips or tricks for removing the front and rear pinion bearing races? I think if I get the front one out, the rear one can be tapped out.
The front one has an oil seal right behind it though, and I dont see a way of getting it out without damaging the oil seal. I have seen some directions that call for tapping it out, but I just dont see how that is possible. Zuk uses a press and a washer cut in half that fits between the oil seal and the back side of the race. The manual calls for a special puller.
I suppose I could tap out the oil seal with the race and just replace the oil seal too, but I wanted to see if anyone has done anything else before I get destructive.
