I too has never seen this on any of the 4runners I've dealt with! I watched the video just to see what kind of springs should I use and then I saw this bracket.

Looks like they are only $20 each.

Might not be a bad part to buy and weld on if the earlier rigs have the bolt holes.

Wonder if it adds to the pain of shock replacement.

Interesting. I must have never looked at a 2002 frame. That maybe a well needed piece in the rust belt. Anything to stiffin those shock/coil plates is a good thing
