Any issue with 5100's & 210v (temporarily)?

Hey all!

'00 4Runner owner here and not new to modding, but somewhat new to trucks. I spent the last hour searching on here, but couldn't find anything specific to help me answer my question:

I have 4th gen 5160's on the way and I already have the Dobinsons 210v's ready to go to help get rid of the sag with all of the weight I've added lately (storage/camp kitchen box, roof rack with mostly recovery stuff mounted, etc - ~350+ lbs. constant added weight now and more coming with trail armor). The back currently has standard 3rd gen 5100's (PN 24-249966) with 890's, but I'm curious if I can put the new springs in now before the new billy's come in?

They're about a month and a half out (thanks 'rona) and I don't have any real off-roading adventures planned within that time, so do I run the risk of damaging the 5100's from topping out if I'm only really driving on roads? I have to change the outer tie-rods this weekend and I'd like to have the springs in at the time of the alignment afterwards, so any clarity would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you're not going to be articulating the rear suspension you should be fine. Make sure when you get your new shocks to have bump stops that are correct for your new springs and shocks.

Good deal! I already have the extended Durobumps, so I should be good there.
