Good to hear. The auto to manual swap on my Camry required only moving 1 wire at the dash to engine harness connector, along with plugging in the clutch switches and starter relay. (along with the correct engine harness)

Good job on those spreadsheets. I didn't review them, but it looks like you know what you are doing.

Interesting....

Went to wire the clutch switch for cruise control shut off... and in the limited the cruise ecu wasn't where the diagram showed it.

Checked the SR5 and right there behind the center console below the radio... big as can be.

Checked the limited, then looked at the steering column... no cruise.

So apparently I have a limited without cruise control.

The only other things the SR5 has the Limited doesn't are the hitch receiver and rear roof deflector. The limited is a limited with the flares, leather, wood grain everything, locker, sunroof, was an AT with the push button 4wd....

I rarely use cruise especially in the manual 4runners, so I might swap, may not... just surprised.

I'll provide more info if it works.

I am pretty positive the wiring is done. Nothing needed for reverse. Repinned 2 wires for the transfer case, so the body (limited 4wd computer) receives the J shifter 4wd/low signals... and then simply jumped 2 wires at the 4wd computer to trick it into thinking the 4wd button is switched when the J shifter is put in 4wd.

Also seam sealed the welded center tunnel.

Now to get the engine back in.

Engine, transmission, and transfer case are all bolted in, started to do some of the connections and ran out of time. Seems to all fit well.

I lied, it does have cruise control. It's been a long week.

What's throwing me off is that the cruise in the limited is so very different than in the SR5.

The SR5 has what the EWDs call for, a dedicated computer below the radio.

The limited has a cruise control actuator that appears the computer is built into.

I will have to see what the options are.

Got some work done and, with the exception of II1 not being tight enough (I did it in the dark of night last night and must have gotten distracted) initial test fire worked flawlessly.

I did put the J shift into 4wd and then the light on the dash did kick on. I hit the diff lock and it just flashed, but there's no drivelines and the ebrake was set... so I'm not sure if it was actually trying or just yelling at me.

Once I get the radiator and belts in I can run a longer test.

Got the following done....

Front and rear shocks (new Blistein) swapped in
Front and rear springs (4th gen xreas, with only 100 miles) swapped in.

Not too happy with the 'lift' on the front- the Bilsteins do have the height adjustment but I don't want too much preload on the springs. Will see how it drives as is.

Wheels/tires swapped. Swapped a tail light.

Swapped all of the door (all 5) glass as the Limited had tinted that was turning purple.

Amplifier rewired and front compartments swapped with what I had in the SR5 (bigger MB Quarts)

Interior reinstalled using pieces from both vehicles- zero alignment issues.

Front driveshaft installed (PITA)

Still needs to go for a test drive. It does have a small exhaust leak.

However in the driveway all 4WD is working with the Limited electronic control, J-shifter, rear locker, and my wiring methods.

Those who tell you that you need a push button transfercase in a Limited are wrong. Wiring is actually pretty simple.
