Toyota 3.4 Liter 5VZ-FE Engine Replacement

Hey Dudes,

@infamousRNR and I have a important videos series for any diehard 3rd Gen Toyota 4runner owner that plans on keeping their rig forever. We filmed a 3.4 liter motor swap over a 4 day period. It was a ton of work to document and edit but we knew this was an important one to publish.

In Part 2, we walk you through the steps to strip down the old motor of all the parts you will need to swap over to new motor.

Replacing an engine is a lot of work. Filming it on top of it is even more. As our rigs age and more and more succumb to head gasket and valvetrain issues this will be very helpful.

Yes Jon, it will definitely be helpful. In true Timmy the Toolman and Sean fashion, we're not scared to put out long and detailed videos for people to use. I doubt anyone else is going to go through the pains to do as detailed of a job, so our video series is probably going to be used by most people looking for help swapping out their 3.4 liter engine. This is not just me patting myself and Sean on the back for what we accomplished with the series. It's just our style to make sure people have the information they need to be successful when they use our videos as a tutorial to accomplish a job. We don't cut corners.

The only thing we did not cover is separating the trans from the engine because we have two other video series that cover this which we provide links to in the video.

Having done this job before (twice), I can appreciate the fact that you guys are making a video for it as more and more of these trucks will need heart transplants in the near future.

What was wrong with Ray's engine that he needed to replace it?
