02 Sport skid plate??

Edit: This item was SOLD the day this was posted. It went to a good home to finish a restore project.

I was hoping someone here could help me out figure out how much this item is worth.

I have a brand new, front aluminum skid plate for a 99+ 3rd Gen "Under Protector" Skid plate. Mounting brackets included.

I purchased back in 03, however I never ended up installing it onto my 02. Item has been in my garage since purchased, brand new condition, still has protective covering on aluminum

Would like to sell, but no idea what it's worth?

for reference:

PZ327-35010 - Genuine Toyota PROTECTOR, FRONT UND
Part number PZ327-35010.

Edit: last pic of red 3rd gen was for example only. It was never installed, I just wanted to show a pic of what it looked like. Sorry for the confusion

wow....

Man I don't know but the fact that you've held on to it for 17 years is amazing....i'd almost say don't sell. I know they're like a collectors item in some instances but with many people running aftermarket bumpers these don't always fit so just have to find the right person but with it being unused and you've still got the factory instructions I'd say start at $200 plus shipping. Hell you can always come down. Sweet!

Wow that is impressive! Talk about rare part in used form... unicorn brand new! Mine went for $175 used FYI. So this should be closer to $300 IMO

Thanks for your help. I did actually. I used google, ebay, this site, FB sales pages, all of it. Only problem is.. no one has been selling any that I could find since 2008. So, I came here for advice. Thanks for the advice.

No, you can't. This is a discontinued part. The Tacoma skid plate, while visually it may appear the same, it is not when compared to the 4Runner's version.

Please show me on Google another person trying to get a value estimate on a brand new skid plate. You clearly aren't aware of this part.

Thanks toyotabra, I did not know they were not identical. i have the tacoma guard on my 2001. What is the difference between the parts? Sorry if this is a little off topic but it may be helpful to the seller to know if his part has been discontinued or just superseded.

The skid plates are identical. The difference was in the brackets. The Tacoma one fits the T4R 96-98 bumper and the 4runner specific one has extended bracketry to clear the hideous fat lip bumper. I snagged the Tacoma one when they were still available (circa 2007) and paid about $120 from the dealer.

I bought a used one for my '99... then sold it when I got an aftermarket bumper - back to the new owner of the 4runner I bought it off of! Small world.

I would also think $300+ for a brand new OEM 4Runner skid plate. They were an '02 only thing, so are fairly rare.

Thanks for the info/advice everyone. This posting spurred many PM's and interest. I am happy to say it will be going to a good home to finish up a members restore project. Thanks again to everyone for your input.
