Experience with Diode Dynamics

Hey guys,

I saw they had a 15% off sitewide (code: BF15) and I was eyeing these:

Stage Series 3" SAE/DOT White Sport Standard LED Pod (pair)

since I already have the amber fog lights from Baja Designs. From what I researched their SS3 pods are really good

Have you guys had a good experience with them?

If you decide on Diode Dynamics I'd order from Custom Automotive Lighting Product & Service Specialists – Lightwerkz Global Inc They're one of the largest DD dealers and have the same BF deals, plus free standard shipping.

PS that's where Drift got his stuff from

Thanks guys.

Follow up question.. Do you know how I can get more switch spots??

Pic

I only have 1 more spot left which will be for these when they arrive.

I was planning on getting a rear pod or light bar that is manually switched on and off but I'm out of space. Any ideas?

The one on the right is my Baja designs foglights. I love that I can turn them on without the headlights having to be on first.

Relocate the BD switch to the left panel, you can most likely fit two small switches in that larger spot...I believe there's a thread or two here about switches.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking as well and I can have the electrician guy relocate and wire up the rest.

I tried looking at those old threads from like 2010s but the pics and links are mostly dead so I don't know for sure where to get one that'll fit that right spot.

Yeah I have three in that area. One for 20" bar, one for four pods, one for power inverter. I could fit a fourth easily.

I have been eyeing the diode dynamics spots. I have plenty of area/flood light already.

Can snap a pic when you get a chance?
And do you have the link to the switches so I can purchase?

I think the ones in this link are sold out.

I did find these switch holders I guess I'll have to do some measuring to see which ones will fit

Then pair it with these switches, but why are they so expensive lmao

Stage Series LED Light Bar - Hotshot Offroad

Bought one of these as well since it's only $68.

Was thinking of getting it mounted by the rear spoiler. Basically parallel to the rear center brake light.

Is that a mountable spot and can easily run wires all the way to the left side of the steering wheel where the switches are ?

I had some knockoff pods in my rear spoiler, mounted using the same screws that go into their brackets, as reverse lights and they worked great. Would certainly recommend going that route or something similar. I have always wondered why that company's switches are so pricey too, haha...

Yea I got an LED tailgate bar that works as a turn signal/reverse/brake light but I want the 6 inch pod/light bar to be a manual switch. Do you have a pic of your rear spoiler setup so I can visualize it?

I'm not doing the install but I wanna know what's the options so they don't look at me crazy when I asked them to do like 3 different things lmao

Ahh, that sounds slick. Because this forum uses such an ancient interface I had to majorly downgrade the resolution of the photo, but you'll get the point. They were great as reverse lights and camp lights.
