CB help

so I installed my CB under my Kenwood double din apply play radio and if I turn on the CB everything is fine. (I don't hear any chatter) but when I push in the call button I hear a pop and my radio basically dies and says No signal. The only way to get it back is turn off the truck and it works fine till I hit the call button again. What's doing this?

Try running to power directly to the battery and the negative to a body grounding point. CB's usually are fickle about where their power comes from.

Direct wire the CB to the battery. I avoid sharing power wires with an amp if at all possible. Too much chance for interference with the CB signal. Dirty power makes dirty transmissions.
