tps
Just changed the injectors - el cheapo but original - and she runs better than she ever has. P0172 began. Pulled tps and, sure enough, 1 of the 2 circuits was open. Asian replacement on the way. Last one worked for 20 years

Sorry for bumping a year old thread guys...I know...newb mistake...

Been reading thru a ton of threads on this P0172 as I'm fighting my own. Reading the last post about the TPS being the fix. Did you have any symptoms of a failed TPS or was it only obvious doing a resistance check?

I've got some other REALLY wonky stuff on mine related to the P0172, already checked/addressed the usual suspects, but ECU readings are confusing me, as an experienced diagnostic tech but new to the Toyota world. I would like to start a new thread but can't just yet apparently.
