They didn’t fit, so I just went with the TBU AND ordered a Powerstop Kit.

Been chasing an engine miss for the last few weeks. Found out the #4 injector was bad.
I ordered a rebuilt set from Motorwest Performance.

While changing the injectors, I’d thought I’d clean up the lower intake.
Should be worth .5 HP! Lol

The ride quality of the Kings were meh. I was expecting the ride quality to be smoother.

Found a set of coilovers with adjustable external resi so I can adjust the ride quality!

Shock comparison coming up!

Interesting to see how you feel about the new shocks since kings are a year to get and it would suck to spent all that money and wait so long just to be disappointed

From my experience, anecdotal as it may be, King did not take nearly as long as I expected. Ordered Dec. 14th. My fronts must have been in stock with wheeler's as they came less then a week later.

The rears took less then a month.

What specifically didnt you like about the King setup? Everyone drives different and has different expectations. They seem "overhyped" which can lead to higher expectations than usual.

No matter what shocks are run, if the valving isn't dialed and set correctly then the shocks won't work like they should. Add on to that everyone has a different driving style and every vehicle is different so while the manufacturer might have a base valving they put in, every shock needs at least one revalve to make it work the way it should.

CRB Racing Build 2.0

I ordered from Wheelers and waited about 6-7 months for the Kings to be delivered. I was expecting the ride to be smoother/softer. Everyone I spoke to claimed that their truck rode like a Cadillac and felt in their own words “like buttah”.

I guess having a 2020 TRD Pro T4R, I was expecting the ride to be more like that.

On road the Kings were harsh over bumps and I could feel every bump and freeway expansion joint. The feeling was almost the same as the Bilsteins I had before. The same bumps that would upset the chassis prior still did with the Kings installed.

Most of the off-roading I do consists of slow rutted trails with obstacles thrown in or a rocky dirt road to go fishing. I was expecting the Kings to be smoother off road and be able to drive at least a little faster.

Maybe I was expecting to much? Kings are in another league price wise compared to Bilstein, so I was expecting the ride and control to be in another league also.

A revalve would have costed me 600.00. I couldn’t justify paying to for basically a rebuild on a brand new shock.

Word of advise to anyone ordering suspension.

Order from a dealer that will revalve the shocks to your liking. Because stock valving isn’t the greatest

So, I found out the Tacoma bolt pattern on the coil bucket isn’t the same as the 4Runner. No big deal, I just drilled out the coil bucket to match the Tacoma top hat.
