Grounding Question

I've read a few of the grounding threads here but none seem to specifically answer these two questions.

1. Is the indicated point in my engine bay the EA grounding point from the diagram?

2. If I put a power distribution center somewhere around grounding point BJ (see image below, basically where the tool cubby is in the back), is there any benefit to running a grounding wire all the way back to the engine bay instead of using BJ, as it relates to audio noise?

I plan to put a very small powered sub in the back, but I keep reading about interference/noise in the audio system from poor grounding. Someone recommended running a ground straight back to the battery to clean it up, but no one validated the recommendation.

The TLDR of question #2 is really, "are certain grounding points in our trucks superior to others when it comes to reducing audio system noise?"

The body is grounded to the truck frame in several places. When I installed my amp, I used an existing interior bolt and just ground the paint down where the terminal touched the body. Works like a charm and have had no issues with any installs in 20 years doing it this way....

I have never in my life seen anyone run a ground directly to the battery, even the competition car audio guys will ground to the frame and then ground their system directly to the frame.

The entire body is grounded. As Toyota uses negative ground chassis just almost all vehicles are negative grounded.

Those bolts if clean will work for grounds. If ever any doubt on a ground. Put a Meter in continuity mode and a lead to a known ground and the other on your lead and if it beeps you have a ground.

It should be just fine to ground to any body bolt location. If you have problems with noise, attack the 'signal' side first (RCA routing, etc.). Likely to be just fine though.

Oh, and that engine bay ground point is likely behind/below the modules pictured there.

As all have confirmed I can also say body ground is fine. I have a small powered sub under passenger seat using a body ground. Also like others sanded through paint to clean up contact surface. No issues with interference.
