Stereo receiver suggestions needed

I'm not looking to spend more than 250. Less if possible. My current receiver is crap and the clipping sounds horrible. The previous owner installed Sony xplodes up front that are 65w continuous and 200 peak I think. The rear door speakers are completely blown. I'll replace those later on... I don't need a back up a camera. My wife and I have both iphone and Android. I would be happy with a thumb drive and/or dvd for media. Thank you for any suggestions.

If it seems like both your rears are blown then it's most likely the stereo itself. My rear speaker ports blew on the pioneer head unit the PO had installed. You can test if the rears are blown by switching the rear speaker connectors on the back of the head unit with the fronts.

I replaced the blown pioneer with a Sony V10BT. I would also recommend hifonics coaxials for your front speakers, amazing sound for the price. (Hifonics ZS65CXS Zeus Series 6.5" 2-Way 300W Slim Car Audio Speakers (Pair) | eBay)

I put a scion T1819 in my two 97’s and likes them so much I installed one in my 2002 Saturn.

It’s Bluetooth to talk hands free and stream music.

My Build and repair thread has the install.

You will need two adapter cables and the mic to have it fully functional.

I bought all three of mine with the adapter cables. Two of them were 50 dollars and one was 75. The mic was 54 dollars.

Some modifying and trimming will be required. My thread covers most all of me installing it.

It’s 300w with a center channel output.

One thing I noticed was having to cut the factory bezel. I'm not too keen on that, I don't want it to look hacked up.

Take your time doing the trimming and then hit the edges with a heat gun to turn them black again.

It was the hardest part and I screwed mine up a little.

I used a Fein Multi Master to trim my Saturn SL and a rat tail file for the corners and it looks much cleaner.

It’s a crisp clear sound with 4 Sony 6.5’s in my little Saturn and sounds almost as good in the larger interior of the 4Runner with smaller speakers in the rear doors.

Crutchfield has JVC and Kenwood (same company now) single-DIN head units for under $200, including the dash install kit and wiring harness. I recently bought a JVC for my dad's CRV since the OEM radio's right side channels kept cutting out. It has bluetooth audio streaming and a front USB port that's thumb drive compatible.

The one I ordered isn't in stock at the moment, but here's a similar model for $99.95, same features as the one I installed JVC KD-T910BTS CD receiver at Crutchfield
