LSeat sea covers and KBD heated seats - 97 LimitedSR5

I wanted to provide a photo and some thoughts on the Lseat seat covers.

I labelled the thread LimitedSR5 because ours is a combination of these. The seats are no different, I guess.

The seats are manual seats from a 97 SR5, in our 97 Limited. However the seat bottom for the driver is actually from the Limited.

Understand that we are pretty darn mechanically capable.

We ordered them in Bisque knowing they wouldn't match. We also had similar covers (had them installed, shouldn't have) in our 2001 LX470.

Seat Covers:

Tear down was easy, keep the metal rods. Tip - the headrest holes remove from inside the covers (pinch together and push up) - keep note of orientation.

The cons:
The back seat and headrest don't have the factory style lower clips, which is by far my biggest complaint. Install would have been much faster and cleaner if they did. I hog ringed the sea backs and the headrests have velcro.
They install a little loose (but they WILL tighten up with use and temperature cycles - same thing in our LX happened).
There are no pre-cuts for bolt holes, headrest holes, etc.
Color doesn't match

Pros:
Price
Price/quality
Comes with the center console cover (not installed)
Can install heated pads during install

Heated pads:

We went with hi/lo heaters from KBD (the long style). They just barely fit. The instructions say not to cut - which is impossible when properly installing the covers/hog rings. Make sure not to cut through the ends, though.

The kit we bought was relatively complete but was missing an important piece of the puzzle - an ignition switched based relay. They come with a hi/lo/off switch, a relay, and a bit of harness for each. I installed each relay into the seats each, then added the IG switched relay.

A friend 3d printed some center console blanks/holes that worked perfectly.

Temperature wise I would say they are at, or above, what our 2011 LX570 does at max, obviously less control at just the 3 settings. If you're doing the covers, do these as well (around $70).

Sweet looking, appear rugged. Heaters are great food warmers too, I turn mine on as soon as I leave the house to pickup curbside (next best thing to come out of Covid besides working from home since last March and probably forever).

My dog likes the seat heaters too...haha...
