Anecdotally, I ran a spiral grid agm for 10 years and it always read low 12s after resting a few hours. I now have a regular agm and it’s higher but still 12.4 ish after resting. The flooded lead acids in my cars sit more at 12.6 to 12.8 as you would expect.
Not sure if there is any truth or logic to this, just my observations.

Here's what I have observed with my Odyssey group 34R AGM:
After being fully charged using a CTEK fancy multi-stage smart charger, I go on a local short trip involving about 2 miles of distance and 3 starts of the engine. Upon getting home, it takes at least 2 hours on the CTEK to fully restore what 3 starts took out of the battery.
What I think I learned: Short trip driving does not replace the energy used in starting during the short trip. Very long drives do, moderately long drives (≈45 min?) almost do. Regular topping off with an AGM-friendly charger may help preserve battery capacity over the long run. Otherwise, the battery is chronically undercharged in normal, around-town driving.
