Looks like I stumbled across this too late with the kits no longer being available and JZiggy just running out too...

For people who have done this / handled these door checks before, what are your thoughts on converting a RH check to a LH one? I know they're different PN's and not directly interchangeable, but seems like the only difference between the sides is the orientation of that end piece "lug" on the body interface side of the bar - if you can remove that big pin and re-pin it with that lug flipped, it looks like that would convert a RH to LH or visa versa (am assuming they use the same piece parts but are assembled as mirror images).

My passenger side is pretty stiff so may just swap that with the driver's side one as a temporary improvement, unless I'm missing something.

You should be able to swap side to side. The little covers on the frame side will sit upside down but who cares?

Once I get access to kits again I'll make rebuilds available...

Ok sweet. Wasn't sure if that 10mm bolt was offset vertically from the bar at all or not (if so there could be some misalignment if flipped). I'll give that a try this weekend, thanks!

Forgot to follow up to confirm this is the case ^. The arms of the door checks themselves are identical and have one side marked "L" and the other "R", so just assembled as mirrors.

I wasn't able to de-pin the lug off the end to reassemble/convert them with the tools and patience I had on hand that day, but I'm sure it's possible.

Here are a couple pictures of the RH check in the LH spot.
