I can't even imagine 5.29 gears with 285/75R16's (33's). That's 2700 rpm's at 70 mph with an automatic. 4.88's would be just below 2500 rpm's with an automatic. For comparison 265/70R16 (stock tire size) with 4.30 gears at 70 mph is 2350 rpm's with an automatic. I'm sure the 4 cylinder's would like the higher rpm's but my V6 would be begging me to stop if I went to 5.29's with 33 inch tires.

Gear Ratio Calculator

Have 285/75-16 Patagonia MT rim 22.5# tire 67# tread high rolling resistance Auto 3.4 4.56 gears.
I used 33" tire column rounded up .2". 8k mi so far.
3rd gear with auto is 1:1 ratio @ 65 mph my rpm's are 3250, power side of 4.56's 4.88 range.
OD on 4th gear rpm's drop to 2800+- 4.27 range gas mileage.
Last 2 16 gal fillup's 220 mi+- 13+- mpg, nothing but city driving some rush hour, temps low 20's to 70's.
7 hr Interstate run gas stops did see in 18's mpg, topped at 1800' not apples to apples comparison.
I'm good, I did debate 4.88's declined on hwy rpm's, offroad flip a switch or two locked or dual locked gives wiggle room.

These 5VZ pigs only good for so much up in the hills, grin n bear it move over I guess.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but it's always difficult for me to read what you type because it's choppy incomplete sentences with poor punctuation.

I do condense what I have to say things get lost in translation.
The link needs to be read and understood to make sense of my performance numbers and where
I point to 4.88 4.27 gear ratio's at a given rpm.
Rpm's in green = best, to the right = power, to Left = economy
My setup as mentioned is giving window sticker rated mpg's, think you could say I'm back to stock performance,
OD off puts rpm's in power range.
If/when I need more on the trail/wherever I have the advantage of dual lockers,
this option was part of gear choice. If I want more there is S/C'ing.
My real numbers with my mixing and matching the variables been a good choice.

Choppy incomplete Lol yea man, fallout from one of lifes lemons, in person you wouldn't notice.
