CV Axle Boot Question

I was replacing the boots on my cv axles with OEM boot kit and discovered that I crimped the clamp down with the boot off by one notch. Tried to loosen the clamp up to move the boot and snap! If I were to purchase a new clamp, I would have to take the newly installed inner boot off with all the grease so don't want to go that route. I had some of that twine left over from Toyota's ball joint kit and decided to give it a go. Think this will work, or should I go purchase a hose clamp?? Was worried the hose clamp might have too much rotational imbalance.

Thanks for any help!!

I bet that will hold just fine. If it starts to leak, then go to a screw down hose clamp.
