Hey peeps, so I tried getting my mechanic to get rid of the P0773 code and it has been a pain with no success.
I would like to say that this code began appearing after my transmission was rebuilt after a Torque Converter failure destroyed my transmission. After it was rebuilt this code became a common occurrence.
I have been living with my CEL staring back at me since October and I have been burning through gas more than usual. It is finally time I did something about it. Now this P0773 code appeared in January of 2020. I would clear it and it would be a few months, then it would pop up, I'd clear it then it would be gone for a few months and then come back. Whenever I use the OBDII scanner and clear for a while then come back (instantly or a day or so).
My mechanic has attempted the following:
- Clean and check voltage/resistance on terminals.
- Removed my transmission pan countless times
- Replaced transmission filter
I finally got around to purchasing an OBDII Scanner myself so I can clear it and get a better understanding of what is going on. I picked up the ANCEL Scanner that was recommended to me in a previous thread.
When I did the initial scan everything came up green. When I scanned for the codes I got a P0773 but 3 times, I cleared it and then got back 1, cleared it again and got 2 of P0773 Codes.
Is there anywhere in specific I should start looking or with the scanner? I would also like to note that my transmission is missing a bolt or something at the bottom of the casing, one that sits flush against the other portion of the case.
