That's your torque converter locking up. Does it shake or shudder when the torque converter is locked up?

I’m not sure but I will check again. I kind of remember no shakes or shutters but I’ll confirm.

At this point I’m shopping for a solenoid kit. Any suggestions?

Called a new mechanic and he said he would do the job on replacing the solenoids and filter. Do these parts check out for a Solenoid Kit, Filter and Gasket?

Quick update:

Took it to the new mechanic and turns out that the solenoid that my previous mechanic installed was the wrong one and was smaller. New mechanic was pissed at my old mechanic. Once he replaced all the solenoids with the kit the code has gone away.

Thank you. I am really happy I got it sorted out.

Previous mechanic caused me two weeks of rentals and $350 bucks worth of repairs, coming in over 1K alone just to take my car back the way it was. Never going back to my 'family' mechanic again. Not to knock the guy but he's getting old and is cranky whenever I bring up or bring in any work for him.

New mechanic had a ton of questions for me and wanted an explanation as to why my transmission was they way it was. Only cost me $125 for labor and $176 for parts from Rock Auto. Fluid was burnt to a crisp and made new mechanic question if I paid for fluids (which I did) which made it seem like they were never changed to begin with.

Glad you got this figured out man. I was having the same code with my previous Runner and the torque converter was NOT locking up. I planned to change those solenoids but never did. Its really frustrating when you have troubles with someone or somewhere that is working on your vehicle. I would definitely stick with the new guy. Sounds like its a good thing you went ahead and got all that freshened up if the fluid was burnt up.
