Hazard/Rear Defroster back lit?

Quick question
On the 3Gen.. Are the Hazard and rear defroster switches Backlit?

They are, but the hazard switch is pretty dim because of where the bulb is positioned, and if yours is burned out make sure you replace it with an incandescent because an LED won't cast light in the proper direction.

Funny thing I've been looking at these switches for ages and when it finally burnt out I wasn't sure if it was even lit in the first place.
The Orange still lights when the Defroster is activated but i do think the hazard is shot. I assume remove the Black trim to get access to the switch?
This sounds like an easy job.

You need to pull the hand brake surround, then the shifter surround, then you can pull the trim piece that the switches are mounted in. This thread does a pretty good job of showing you how to do it.
