King piggy sway rub
Just installed these brand new kings & been driving on them for 2 months. Just spoke to tech service & they dont have/make a piggy relocation bracket. What have any of you 3rd gen owners done to resolve this rubbing on the rear swaybar?

Hey, I think I may be able to help here.
I run Bilstein 5160 piggyback reservoir shocks, which are constructed similar to these Kings. I ran into the same issue.
I ended up getting a piece of stock aluminum from my local Lowe's and made my own remote brackets, sandwiched between the bumpstop and frame like so (Swaybar was removed in these pics):
No more sway contact, and out of the way from the tires too.

The aluminum is lightweight and pliable enough to bend without much heat. Still super rigid too. May give you some ideas. Long story short, I think I've learned that there is no way to run a sway bar out back with a piggyback resi attached to the shock.

haha! I'm OCD and had just finished an axle swap. While the axle was out I spent 3 wks sanding and painting everything.
In hindsight, probably a waste of time since it'll just get dirty again

Well this made me wonder if I was having this issue as well. I checked and my shocks and resis look good but can tell where there was a little rubbing with my over sided lower arm. Think I will be doing the aluminum strap mount soon then. Side benefit is it will make the adjuster knobs easier to get to.

Cool deal. I am pretty sure what happens is the shock bodies spin a little under normal use, and this causes the piggyback to rub.
Jealous of you King folks, especially with adjusters

They are nice. I am loaded up for a trip next weekend so I spent a little time today adjusting the rear shocks to comfort. Two clicks and it rode great again.

Does it hit on both sides or just one? You might also be able to put collars on the swaybar to keep it centered for max clearance to the shock body.

Are you sure they're installed on the correct side? I know some people have installed them on the wrong sides and they get a lot of rubbing.
My king's don't rub under normal conditions. They slowly rotate towards the center of the vehicle and would eventually make very slight contact, so every few months or thousand miles I just grab them and rotate the reservoir away from the sway bar. Basically whenever I think about it or am already under the truck.

Maybe it's the 210V springs (~4.25" of lift), maybe it's the 4th gen 5160s... I don't get any rubbing with the reservoirs facing forward. They do get a little close to the frame, but I haven't noticed any marks or binding with the considerable flexing that's gone on back there in recent months.
I had more issues with the SB links potentially hitting the lower trailing arms than anything else!
